May 2011 Raffle Winner

Daffs DelightHello Cricut aficionados!

It's been a crazy spring where I am...  Just when you think it's going to be nice for the next couple of months it starts storming again.  The last storm just passed last week and it's finally starting to warm up.  I hope it stays like this...

I know it's been a while since the last drawing, so I wanted to get back on track and start picking some winners!  With summer approaching soon I know a lot of us are going to have lots of memories to put onto paper.

But first...

Last month I told you about a great ebook that was chock full of quotes and expressions - perfect for putting onto your scrapbook pages and cards.  Ever since I picked up this gem I've felt like my pages and cards have more character... as if they were put together by an expert scrapper!

So for example,  instead of putting boring captions like "Hubby's 40th Birthday", what about using "At my age happy hour is nap time!"

Some of the really cool features of the ebook include:

  • 5,000 scrapbooking expressions, including titles, words, sayings, phrases, captions, quotes & idea's
  • 100 different categories and sub-categories
  • You can download and view it on your computer, or you can print it out and put it in a binder for easy reference

Lasting Expressions EbookThe Lasting Expressions ebook has given me that extra little touch of personality to all of my pages and cards.  Now, whenever I need a thoughtful quote or funny expression, I just look in my book and find the perfect phrase!

The ebook normally goes for $29.95 and is on sale right now for just $17.  But I've got an even better deal for you...

I got in contact with the author and was able to get you an additional 12% OFF the sale price!

April 2011 Raffle Winner

Hello Cricut lovers!

Last time I told you about the scrapbooking expressions ebook and how it really put some new life into my scrapbook pages and cards. Now, every time I need a funny quote or enlightening expression, I just need to look in the ebook and search for the perfect phrase. It's as easy as 1-2-3!

Anyhow, I just mentioned it last month and I was surprised at how many scrappers picked up a copy of their own. I guess I shouldn't have been too surprised... It really is one of my best scrapping investments.

If you missed it, you can read more about it in my blog post here.

July 2010 Raffle Winner – Number 2!

Hello my scrapping friends!

I'm so glad that many of you have checked out and like my two new sites.  I've just finished putting up some writeups on each of the cartridges, so if you haven't checked them out, here are the links:

Cricut Cake Cartridges ==> http://www.CricutCakeCartridges.com

Cricut Lite Cartridges ==> http://www.CricutLiteCartridges.com

And now, for the moment you've been waiting for...

This month's SECOND Cricut cartridge winner is:

Jill from Illinois!

I am a full-time graphic designer and mother of an 8-year-old boy. Generally we are weekend and evening crafters/scrappers, creating anything from cards to gift bags and everything inbetween. Just recently we've been experimenting with vinyl and glass etching using the Cricut and having a ton of fun. We started with the "Baby Bug" and when we decided we needed the Expression we gave the "Baby Bug" to my neice who loves to craft as well. I would suggest the Cricut to any scrappers/crafters out there who love to create new and exciting things!

Congrats Jill! I will be sending you an email shortly with instructions on choosing your cartridge.

If you didn't win this time around, don't fret! We have a new drawing each and every month, and once you are entered (by filling out the form in the yellow box to the right), you are eligible for each month's drawing.

Oh, and of course...

Next week will bring another new winner, so be sure to watch out for the next email!

How to Cut Fabric with Your Cricut

We all know that the Cricut can cut paper, but did you know that you can cut fabric with it too?

You can use the cut fabric to embellish onesies, t-shirts, pillows, quilts...anything you can think of!  And it's simple and easy to do.

Once you've chosen your fabric, cut them into about 4 inch squares.  Then use Steam-A-Seam 2, which is double stick fusible web, and iron it to the back of your fabric.

Now you're ready to cut with your Cricut!

Stick your squares fabric side down onto the Cricut mat, load it into your Expression, pick your shape and hit the "Cut" button.  It's really that easy.
